Dear WMA Friends and Members:

Our new fall annual conference has received overwhelming interest. At this time, due to registration exceeding our capacity we are closing registration.  We are sorry we can not accommodate everyone. Next year’s conference will be held in Milwaukee at the beginning of November. We expect a larger venue so look for information about that conference in the late spring.

Thank you,

Phil Dosmann

WMA Executive Director

Dear WMA Members and Friends:

The 8th WMA Conference is scheduled for Saturday, November 11th, 2017 at Isthmus Montessori Academy in Madison, WI. We have moved our annual conference to the fall to provide teachers with an annual refresher in Montessori pedagogy, lessons and parents information on quality Montessori implementation and advocacy. WMA currently supports Montessori schools throughout the state with workshops; consultations, leadership training, and technical help with expanding and maintaining quality programs.

Please join us on November 11th. Our keynote speaker Crystal Dahlmeier, Program Director Emerita at Greater Cincinnati Center for Montessori Education, will speak about Normalization in Early Childhood Environments and breakout presentations intend to inspire and rejuvenate our Montessori community. Ms. Dalhlmeier will be speaking about tendencies of the normalized child and how teachers can support normalized development in the Montessori environment.

This year we have a special rate for parents who want to attend the conference. Parents are invited to attend our lunchtime networking session. After lunch, parents are encouraged to attend a breakout on “Qualities of a Successful Montessori Program and Advocacy”. During registration use the promotion code ‘Parents” and your registration will be discounted to $15 which includes lunch and a year’s membership to WMA. Retirees and Student rate is $60. Enter promo code Retired and Student.

We hope to see you in November!
