Wisconsin Montessori Association 2021 Virtual Conference
Lessons Learned; Looking Forward
Friday Morning, November 12 – Administrators
Saturday, November 13 – Everyone
Come join your fellow Montessorians for our statewide WMA conference! This year, we have a half-day pre-conference program on November 12 for all administrators. High-interest topics will be presented for the administrators, as well as a great opportunity to network and share.
Our conference on Saturday, November 13 is packed with presentations and workshops that are of immediate interest and value to the Wisconsin Montessori community, both public and private. We have selected topics that you told us were the most important.
In recognition of the challenges we all face in getting together in person, this conference will be held virtually. We have a powerful line-up of presentations, along with opportunities for you to network with your colleagues, and visit our virtual exhibit hall, where you’ll find many products and services you need.
Friday, November 12 Administrators program includes:

Saturday, November 13 program line-up includes:
Keynote Presentation:
Moving Forward, Finding Alignment
Katie Keller Wood, Ed.D.
Executive Director, CMStep
In this keynote, Katie Keller Wood will draw on Montessori’s ideas of work, cosmic vision, and cosmic task to help us examine our own mission-driven work, and how we can promote true thriving for ourselves and others. As whole humans, we need a way to integrate our work as a meaningful and important part of our lives and shifting our perspective from “balance” to “alignment” can make all the difference. We’ll explore how the alignment model provides a pathway to thriving in a way that honors each person’s unique talents, experiences, perspectives, and needs.
Just as our Montessori classrooms provide a container conducive to the development and thriving of our students, we adults need to consider our own developmental needs as we each live our “one wild and precious life” (Mary Oliver).
After Katie’s presentation, choose from nine breakout sessions and three roundtable discussions, all focused on the important issues and topics of the day, including:
